Hi, my laptop died three days before christmas (and I have to wait to send it off for repair till mid jan because of the holidays. *weep*) and I've pretty much decided that even though I'm getting it repaired, its over three years old now and the extended warranty runs out in a couple of months anyway so it might be time to upgrade to a new computer. I've been looking at whats around and I am contemplating an iMac (desktop) as they are almost comparable in price at the moment for what you get with a windows box.
My question is, I guess... how well does WoW run on them? The choice I seem to have with the iMacs for processors/graphic cards are:
3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo / NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics
3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo / ATI Radeon HD 4670 graphics with 256MB
2.66GHz Intel Core i5 (or 2.8GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7) / ATI Radeon HD 4850 graphics with 512MB
Is that good enough for gaming? In particular WoW (mostly playing BGs and the occasional dungeon and other regular gameplay) The windows ones I've looked at the graphics cards all have 1gb of dedicated memory, so I guess that is what is concerning me the most, that 256mb/512mb isn't enough. But I'm pretty sure WoW has a large group of mac players so it must be, right?

Also, as an aside... as I've been a windows user up till now, I've had the windows version of WoW installed. If I switch to Mac, will I need to purchast a new copy of the game? or will I be able to download a Mac version (free?) and use my current account?
